Silverware Drawer Organizers

Expandable trays that grow with the drawer instead of asking you to measure twice and hope.

Silverware Drawer Organizers

Drawer widths are a lottery. A tray that fits a builder's kitchen leaves two inches of dead space in a house from the seventies, and the fork you reach for at speed ends up in the gap. This is the department the Ukeetap workshop started with, and the answer we settled on is a tray that moves.

Every model here runs on the same body: two side panels slide out on a buckle, the width goes from 12.4 to 21 inches, and the compartment count goes from seven to nine as it opens. The plastic is BPA-free, the tray washes in the sink, and nothing needs assembling.

In detail

How the line differs, model by model

One body, five finishes. Black hides crumbs and scratches best and is the one we send to households with children. White and grey read cleanest in a pale drawer, and they show a spill sooner, which some people count as a feature.

Pink and green exist because a drawer is allowed to be cheerful. They are the same tray, and they carry the same seven to nine compartments.

The deep slots take the long tools: a whisk, a slotted spoon, tongs that never lie flat anywhere else. If your longest utensil passes 12 inches, measure it before ordering.

"Made a huge difference in my drawer organization — the expandable design fit my odd-sized drawer perfectly. Compartments are deep enough for large utensils. Sturdy, doesn't feel flimsy. No complaints here."

★★★★★

We have a wide silverware drawer and I've struggled for years finding the right organizer. When I discovered this one, I think my search is over!Pros: This one is expandable, which met my top need. I was able to make it wide enough to take up the width of the drawer. With the 5 main slots, I have places for my different sized spoons and forks, as well as knives. The long slots on the sides are great for bigger knives and can openers. There are also slots at the top and bottom. It's sturdier than I expected, another plus. It will also be easy to clean.Con: while it is wide and spacious, I wish it were a little longer so it would take up my whole drawer, but that's not a deal breaker by any means! It may be too big for a standard drawer, so pay attention to measurements.Versatility: I may order more to organize my desk at school and my bathroom drawer.Overall, this was a great value for the price and I'm thrilled with this product.

Questions

Asked often enough to answer here

Will it hold a full set for six?

Yes, and most owners report room left over. The middle slots take forks, knives and spoons for six to eight covers, and the outer slots swallow serving pieces.

Does the tray slide around in the drawer?

At full width it braces against the sides. In a wider drawer set to a middle width it can travel, and a strip of shelf liner underneath settles it.

Can it go in the dishwasher?

The brand states hand washing, and the tray rinses clean in a sink in under a minute. We would rather say that than promise a cycle the maker does not.

What if my drawer is deeper than the tray?

The tray is 16.5 inches front to back. In a deeper drawer you get a strip behind it, which is a reasonable home for a rolling pin.

A tray is a piece of plastic. What it changes is the two seconds you spend looking for the right fork, twenty times a day, for years.
