About Ukeetap

Ukeetap makes the unglamorous half of a kitchen. Trays that hold cutlery still, racks that make a sink cupboard reachable, mats that catch a leak before it reaches the chipboard, and two prep tools that take ten minutes out of a weeknight.

The workshop started in 2019 with a drawer tray bought for a kitchen from the nineteen-seventies. It was the right product and the wrong width, and the two inches of dead space it left filled with teaspoons within a month. The second version expanded, and the range grew outwards from that idea.

How we work

Every product spends a season in somebody's own kitchen before we sign it off. The list of changes that comes back is short and boring: a buckle that needs two hands, a lip that folds, a tray that walks when the drawer is pulled hard. Those notes are the most useful document in the process.

Owner reviews carry the same weight. One three-star review points out that the top shelf of our under-sink racks does not slide, and that review changed how we describe them on every page of this site. We would rather be told before somebody orders than after.

What we say and what we will not say

We describe our materials the way they are: food-grade silicone, BPA-free plastic, food-safe ABS, stainless steel blades. Those are statements about materials, and the packaging that arrives with a product carries the legal labelling for anyone who needs the specification itself.

Prices here are updated on a schedule and shown on one page rather than repeated everywhere. Payment, delivery and returns happen at checkout with the retail partner rather than with us.

What we check

Four things, on every run: the buckle and slide on an expandable tray, the stiffness of a mat lip under its own weight, the seam where a bag handle meets the base, and the root of a shredder tooth under a cold load. Those are the four places these products fail, and they are the four we can test without a laboratory.
